The Lower Mainland Down Syndrome Society strives to promote opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome. We do this through supporting families, promoting public awareness, networking with other organizations and individuals and lobbying for appropriate educational, vocational and social opportunities.

The Society provides: accurate and current information about Down syndrome; meetings with professional guest speakers; social family events; society newsletters, new parent information packages to families and professionals; resource referrals; family support through networking needs and concerns; group advocacy; information for research projects; cross-cultural information; an adapted tricycle program; and a resource lending library on Down syndrome.
